June 1, 2010, Kansas City -- Haley Announces Run for the U.S. Senate
I want to thank each of you for coming out today; especially my children who
are just starting summer vacation and already had other plans.
I am Kansas State Senator David Haley and I was born about five miles or so
from where we are gathered at the old Douglass Hospital which was but a
stone’s throw from where once existed a celebrated Township called
Quindaro; a part of Wyandotte County which even predates Kansas’ Statehood…our admission to the United States coming, of course, in 1861.
